Line Service Technician

Duties include:

  • The line service specialist meets incoming and outbound aircraft on the ramp.
  • Assists aircraft pilots and passengers with luggage and cargo handling.
  • Directs them to ground transportation and other ground services.
  • Assisting aircraft pilots and passengers by courteously providing services they may desire.

Responsibilities include:

  • Driving and servicing fuel trucks and ground support vehicles.
  • Parking, towing, storing and securing aircraft. This includes directing the movement of aircraft and vehicular traffic on the ramp and in and out of hangers.
  • Washing, polishing, waxing and cleaning aircraft interiors and exteriors.
  • Handling radio and telephone calls to the flight operations office, ensuring that the information is acted upon or relayed to the proper individual.
  • Policing the ramp, hanger, lounges, shops and auto parking areas, ensuring that the cleanliness of the company’s aviation facilities is maintained.
  • Fuel/de-ice aircraft
  • Provide general cleaning and clearing of debris from ramp, buildings (buffing floors, cleaning windows, etc.), restrooms (completely).
  • Winter: snow/ice removal from driveways, ramp, walkway, and including use of snow removal equipment.
  • Summer: lawn, grounds maintenance, and weeding.
  • Must be able to respond immediately to emergencies and must be able to move quickly about the ramp, hangars and other areas of the facility.

Requirements:

High School degree Completion of Technician I Line Service Training Program Must have a valid driver’s license Must be customer-oriented Some aircraft fueling and handling experience Must obtain vehicular and radio equipment operating licenses as required by government and airport regulations Must obtain a hearing test. Must wear the issued Lanmar Aviation Uniforms including the hat. Must wear the issued Lanmar Aviation hearing protection while on the ramp Must get badged and maintain airport privileges through the airport security system. Must be able to work in all inclement weather.

A&P Mechanic

Perform assigned duties in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations

  • Trouble-shooting, repair, and modification of aircraft components and engines.
  • Engine removal and reinstallation, operational checks, leak checks, and engine runs.
  • Use sound judgment and technical aptitude to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequence and techniques, troubleshooting, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Inspect aircraft in accordance with OEM light or heavy maintenance manuals.
  • Evaluate removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies (squawks).
  • Reinstall and test components after completed inspection.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all airframe systems as required (hydraulics, landing gear, etc.)
  • Perform fuel tank sealing on aircraft if required.
  • Document all work accomplished (a.k.a. sign-off) in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
  • Be held responsible for the work performed.
  • Complete the appropriate portions of work orders, inspection forms and part tags.
  • Accomplish service bulletins, repair letters, and airworthiness directives.
  • Monitor that current technical publications are in use.
  • Read and interpret maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams.
  • Analyze a variety of mechanical problems and determines the cause and best method of repair.
  • Test operation and repair/adjust engines, engine controls and accessories, propellers, and controls, landing gear, hydraulic systems and servicing, and flight controls, and rigging.
  • Check and repair fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling and pressurization systems.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and observe safety precautions
  • Assure compliance with all Lanmar Aviation, Local, State and Federal Environmental, Health & Safety Rules and Regulations, as they relate to aircraft operations and ensure all avionics and facility personnel utilize proper procedures when handling, storing, using or disposing of waste material.
  • Be responsible for all facets of preventative maintenance and repair while maintaining aircraft in an airworthy condition.
  • May travel to customer locations or other facilities at times.
  • Interact with aircraft customers, so professional appearance and communication skills are required in order to create a lasting professional relationship.

Requirements:

  • MUST have 5-10 Years Experience
  • Team Player
  • Troubleshooting a must
  • Single Engine to Medium Jets (Learjet, Hawker and Citation experience a plus) 
  • MUST HAVE a valid FAA approved Airframe & Powerplant License
